|Dale Bradford | Vice President, Western Hemisphere Offshore
Murphy Oil Corporation
Dale W. Bradford is Vice President, Western Hemisphere Offshore for Murphy Exploration and Production Company. Dale is responsible for Production Operations, Facilities & Maintenance Engineering, and Reservoir Engineering for Murphy’s Gulf of Mexico and East Coast Canada producing assets.Dale has 25 years’ experience in the international offshore and North America unconventional oil & gas industry. Since joining Murphy in 2007, Dale has overseen operations in Malaysia, Vietnam, Australia, Indonesia, Kurdistan, Congo, Cameroon, Canada, and the United States. His roles have included Senior Drilling & Completions Manager, General Manager of Southeast Asia Operations, General Manager, International Drilling & Completions, and Vice President of Worldwide Drilling & Services.Prior to joining Murphy, Dale was with BHP Billiton Petroleum, BP Americas, and Amoco Production Company.Dale holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and has completed the Executive Program at Stanford University Graduate School of Business. Dale is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers and the International Association of Drilling Contractors.
|Michael Gassert | Vice President Offshore & Pipelines
Michael Gassert is a Civil and Naval engineer, graduated from the Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées of Paris and the Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingenieros de Caminos, Canales y Puertos of Madrid. He is currently Vice President of Offshore & Pipelines in Eni/EniProgetti. From already several years, he is in charge of pipelines, subsea, deepwater and offshore projects development architectures, definition, engineering and supplies.
|Vikas Jhingran | Portfolio Manager, Norphlet
Shell International Exploration and Production
Dr. Vikas Jhingran is the Portfolio Manager–Norphlet with the DW Projects group at Shell. In his current role, Vikas and his team are responsible for delivering all of Shell’s projects in the Norphlet region of the Gulf of Mexico, a region that includes Appomattox, Shell’s largest and newest asset in Deepwater GOM. Before his current role, Vikas has held various leadership roles in the Deepwater organization within Shell, ranging from organizational leadership to project leadership. His work experience has ranged from research, construction site management, offshore installation, team leadership and commercial. Vikas is particularly passionate about communications in the workplace and how they enable organizational excellence.
Vikas is the 2007 World Champion of Public Speaking and published his first book in 2014 called EMOTE: Using Emotions to Make Your Message Memorable.
Vikas has a PhD from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and is an Alumni of the Harvard Business School and the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. He lives with his wife and two sons in Houston.
|Ryan Malone | General Manager – Projects and Chief Transformation Officer (CTO) for Gulf of Mexico and Canada businesses
Ryan Malone is the General Manager – Projects, and the Chief Transformation Officer (CTO) for BP’s Gulf of Mexico and Canada businesses, and is responsible for BP’s developments portfolio and the transformation agenda within those regions.
Ryan joined BP in 2002 and has held a number of posts in both operations and projects.
Ryan’s career with BP began as an operations engineer in Onshore USA and then led to a number of project engineering and management roles. Ryan worked has worked US onshore operations, on the Mardi Gras Transportation System deepwater pipeline project as a construction engineer, and on the Atlantis and Thunder Horse projects in various subsea and project management roles. Ryan was the Project Manager for the Mad Dog Phase 2 Floating Systems scope, and held the position of Director – Global Subsea Systems responsible for delivering all of BP’s subsea systems designs and equipment globally. Ryan was Executive Assistant to the COO – Global Projects, where he helped in the creation of BP’s global projects organization (GPO).
Ryan has a Mechanical Engineering degree with a Minor in Mathematics from Baylor University.
|Tom Preli | Director Offshore
Tom Preli is currently the Offshore Project Director at Enbridge Energy in Houston, Texas. Tom has thirty four years’ experience in engineering, construction and project management of midstream facilities. Tom has worked on major capital projects both onshore and offshore and worked both domestically and internationally. He has performed many projects in the USA Gulf of Mexico (GOM). Tom has spent his first three years working for KBR, twenty-four years working for Royal Dutch Shell and the past seven years working for Enbridge. Tom has a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University and a M.S. in Civil Engineering from Purdue University. Tom is a registered professional engineer in the states of Texas, Louisiana and Alaska.
|Sunday Shepherd | Exploration Manager – Cenozoic Maturation, Gulf of Mexico
Chevron North America Exploration and Production
Sunday Shepherd has been leading Chevron’s exploration of the prolific Miocene and Wilcox reservoirs in the deepwater since April 2018. Sunday’s group conceptualizes, matures and drills exploration prospects across the deepwater Gulf of Mexico in the U.S. Her team drills roughly two to three wells per year, as wildcats or follow up to other discoveries. Sunday is passionate about building collaborative relationships within Chevron and across industry to drive value. Sunday also chairs Chevron’s Executive Women’s Group.
Prior to this assignment, Sunday was the Regional Manager for the Gulf of Mexico, managing a group of regional mappers and technical experts in geologic risk and leading Chevron’s successful lease sale activity. In previous roles, Sunday has worked as the Exploration Advisor for Chevron’s Asia Pacific E&P headquarters in Singapore, as a Development Geologist in Chevron’s Latin America Business Unit on a heavy oil field in Venezuela and as an Earth Scientist and Team Leader in Chevron’s Energy Technology Company consulting on many global projects. Sunday is a stratigrapher by background and has primarily supported Chevron’s projects in Latin America, West Africa, Southeast Asia and the Middle East.
A native of the state of Virginia in the U.S., Sunday earned a Bachelor of Science in Geological Sciences from Elizabeth City State University in North Carolina, and a Master’s in Geological Sciences from The University of Texas at Austin. Sunday lives in Houston where she enjoys exploring the city’s food and arts scene and competing in Monopoly marathons with her three children and husband Ryan Miller.
|James West | Senior Managing Director – Oil Services, Equipment & Drilling
James West is a Senior Managing Director responsible for the research coverage of the Oil Services, Equipment and Drilling industry consisting of detailed fundamental research on over 70 companies. Prior to joining Evercore ISI, Mr. West was a Managing Director and Senior Research Analyst at Barclays and Lehman Brothers for a combined 15 years.
Since assuming lead coverage in 2011, Mr. West has been top ranked in Institutional Investor, including number three in 2011, number two in 2012 and number one from 2013 to today. Prior to joining Lehman Brothers, Mr. West worked at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette. Mr. West received his B.A. in Economics and a minor in History from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
